Malone, a 16-year old high school student at Southlake Carroll Senior High School died in a fatal bicycle accident in Southlake, Texas. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 8 PM in the 600 block of Byron Nelson Parkway. Malone was riding his bicycle on the parkway when he attempted to cross Lilac Lane and was hit by a car. The cause of the accident is unknown. We wonder if the driver simply did not see the bicyclist.

Bicycle and pedestrian accidents are not uncommon in Texas.

Sammy Rodriguez was killed in a pedestrian accident near Texas Tech Parkway in Lubbock. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 3 PM in the 3500 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway. Reports state that Rodriguez was attempting to cross the highway and failed to yield the right of way to the car that hit him.
