Is this Houston motorcycle accident a Wrongful Death case?

A wrongful death accident may have occured on June 29, 2013. Houston police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident at 3000 North Durham about 1:05 a.m. on this date in Houston. Blake Reeves, age 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer K. Heaverlo reported: A HPD patrol sergeant was traveling southbound on North Shepherd when he observed Reeves operating a black Honda motorcycle without a working headlight.  The sergeant attempted to initiate a traffic stop. A short pursuit ensued. The offer claims that Reeves refused to stop.  The sergeant lost sight of the suspect and called off the pursuit. A short time later, Reeves was found dead in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. It was located in the 3000 block of North Durham.  The sergent claims that Reeves had failed to maintain a single lane and struck a parked tan Honda Accord.

Houston Drunk Driver Car Accident at Northwest Freeway

On or around July 1, 2013, charges were filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident, accused of intoxication manslaughter. The accident occured at the Northwest Freeway (U. S. Highway 290) and North Gessner service road. It occured at about 3 a.m. last Saturday (June 29).   The suspect, Guadalupe Armando Rodriguez-Rivera, is charged with intoxication manslaughter and accident involving injury.    The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will reveal the victim's identity.   HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer E. Morado reported: that Rodriguez-Rivera was driving a green Chevrolet Suburban southbound on North Gessner. They stated that the suspect ran a red light at the intersection of Highway 290.  The Suburban then struck a red Cadillac Escalade, driven by the victim. The victim was traveling northbound on North Gessner and attempting to make a left turn onto the Highway 290 service road.  The victim was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.  Rodriguez-Rivera fled the scene on foot. But he was later found by a wrecker driver.  He was then detained by a Harris County  Sheriff's deputy. The suspect was brought back to the auto accident scene.  Finally, Rodriguez-Rivera was then taken into custody by HPD patrol officers.
