Gage Tibbetts in fatal car accident in Midland County.

Gage Tibbetts was pronounced dead at the scene of a recent car accident. He was the 42nd person to die on roads in Midland County this year and the third death this year on FM 1788. A Copperas Cove man died in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on FM 1788 south of State Highway 191. A police investigation shows that a semi hauling a trailer was angled perpendicular on FM 1788 while attempting to reverse into a business. Everyday auto accidents occur across Texas. And each and every car accident is different, each resulting in differing levels of damages, injuries and losses. While most car accidents are caused by another driver's negligence or momentary lapse of attention, some accidents are caused by reckless behavior. Common acts of negligence include failing to yield the right of way, rear-ending a vehicle, running a stop light or stop sign or an unsafe lane change. Tibbetts was driving a Honda passenger car southbound on FM 1788 when it crashed into the trailer and passed underneath, according to the release from Sara Bustilloz. Traffic on FM 1788 was reduced to one lane for about three hours while Midland Police Department conducted its investigation.

Interested in filing a lawsuit because of Xarelto drug harm?

Did you know that lawyers are now interested in screening and filing cases related to the adverse bleeding events in patients on the anti-coagulant drug Xarelto? Xarelto is a blood thinning drug manufactured and marketed through a joint venture between Bayer and Janssen Pharmaceuticals. Doctors prescribed this drug to patients that suffer from the heart condition Atrial Fibrillation ("A-Fib") in order to help reduce the risks of developing a blood-clotting event like a stroke. If you know someone who has suffered injury as a result of an unexpected or uncontrolled bleeding event while on the drug Xarelto, they may have a legal case.  The familes may have a wrongful death case on their hands.

Eric Royster of Atlas Van Lines dies after getting hit by 18-wheeler.

Eric Royster, an employee with Atlas Van Lines, died in a recent Harrison County truck accident after 18-wheeler crashed into him on I-20. The incident occurred near Waskom and Scottsville, Texas. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. His family may have questions about the incident. We believe that an 18-wheeler caught fire on I-20 Tuesday morning, which prompted the driver to exit his vehicle and examine the source of the fire. After the man got out of his vehicle, another 18-wheeler truck driver stuck him, which resulted in his death and a possible wrongful death case. Why did this truck driver strike him? If he were keeping a proper lookout, would this victim still be alive? How long had the truck driver been on the road? Attorneys conduct their own investigation and look into travel logs. Was the driver on his cell phone causing him to be a distracted driver?

A&M Students involved in head-on car accident in Texas.

Five Texas A&M students went to the hospital after a head-on car accident collision. The car crash happened at around 8:30 p.m. this past Sunday. Akshay Jain and Ishan Bajaj were flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in very critical condition. A good part of State Highway 105 East was shut down as the result of the injury resulting accident. Police authorities indicate that the A&M students were headed westbound on the state highway. A truck driven by a Cleveland, Texas resident had allegedly crossed the center lane and entered the opposite driving lane. After he entered to opposite lane, the accident occurred. We suspect that the families of those injured may have additional questions. We believe that the pickup driver crossed the highway near Goode City Road. We also believe that the A&M driver attempted to avoid the accident but the accident could not be avoided. A head-on collision occurred and many were injured. These injured individuals may have sustained injured that will last a long time. These injuries may interfere with their school attendance, education, and grades. In the opinion of this personal injury attorney, they should be entitled to compensation for their pain and suffering.
