Richard Zavala died in a car accident in Dripping Springs, Texas. Ashley Marie Puente died in the accident as well. The unfortunate incident occurred on August 11, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Zavala was driving on Highway 290 and reduced his speed to turn and then pulled out in the pathway of a truck. Both vehicles collided and Zavala and his passenger, Puente, died as a result of the extreme injuries they sustained in the accident. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family of Zavala and Puente.

What was the cause of the accident? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about fatal car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
