John Gwin died in Bastrop County, Texas car accident

On Behalf of | Jul 25, 2016 | Wrongful Death |

John Gwin died in a car accident in Bastrop County, Texas. Mary Macias and Benita Trujillo were hurt in the accident. Mason Miller and Jordan Graves were also involved in the collision. The unfortunate incident occurred on July 21, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Gwin was driving on Texas 21 when he was rear-ended by another vehicle driven by Miller as he slowed down to turn on Pine Valley Ct. That initial collision reportedly caused Gwin’s vehicle to enter the opposite lanes of traffic and collided with a truck. Miller and his passenger, Graves, received medical treatment, but were released. Macias and Trujillo were hurt in the collision and we hope they both have a speedy recovery. Gwin died as a result of the extreme injuries he sustained in the accident. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of Gwin.

What was the cause of the accident? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits.
