Javier Maya died in San Antonio, TX alleged drunk-driving accident

| Jun 11, 2016 | Wrongful Death |

Javier Maya died in an alleged drunk-driving car accident in San Antonio, Texas. Nydia Pena was also involved in the accident. The unfortunate incident occurred on May 30, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Pena was headed on SW Military Dr. and disregarded a traffic light causing her to crash with the vehicle Maya was driving. Maya’s passenger was injured and reportedly is in critical condition. We hope the passenger makes a speedy recovery. Maya died as a result of the extreme injuries he sustained. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of Maya.

Pena was criminally brought upon charges of intoxication manslaughter and assault and driving while intoxicated with a child in the car.

What was the cause of the accident? Was the driver really driving drunk? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits.
