Jason Omelina injured in car accident in Houston, Texas

On September 3, 2015, a major car accident occurred in Houston involving a pick-up truck and a Mack dump truck driven by fifty-two year old Arsby Robins. The driver of the 2015 Dodge pick-up truck was thirty-four year old Jason Omelina. He was airlifted to a hospital in Tyler, Texas due to his serious injuries. The accident occurred a little before 4pm.

According to the accident report, Omelina was driving and crossing into the center lane when he was struck by the dump truck. Behind the dump truck was the trailer it was towing at the time of the accident.

Omelina was quickly taken to Trinity Mother Francis Hospital, however, Robins was not hurt in the accident. The investigation is still underway.

In another truck accident that tragic accident in San Antonino, TX., a mustang collided with an 18-wheeler truck. The woman driving the mustang was in her 40s, and passed away on the morning of September 4, 2015 after the car accident occurred.

The woman was driving early in the morning, around 3am when she struck the 18-wheeler. Authorities state that the mustang crossed into other lanes into oncoming traffic. She was driving in the wrong direction when the accident occurred.

Local law enforcement stated that the driver of the 18-wheeler attempted to avoid the mustang, but was unable to avoid striking the vehicle.

Authorities suspect that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident. They found open containers of alcohol in the mustang. However, the investigation is still in progress.

Although the driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt, the 18-wheeler was filled with diesel at the time. This diesel spilled from the truck, and clean-up took several hours.
