Susan Burns and Mike Krochmal were involved in a fatal car accident in Cape Coral, Florida. Police believe that the accident occurred at about 6 PM near Bridge Plaza and College Parkway on McGregor Boulevard. Harold Burns was driving a Kia Sorrento on McGregor Boulevard and attempted to turn left into the Bridge Plaza. He collided with a Ford F-350 as he was turning. The Ford pushed the Kia in the way of a Saturn L300, which collided with the Kia. Harold Burns and one of the passengers, Pam Krochmal, were taken to the hospital. Burns does not have critical injuries whereas Krochmal has severe ones. Unfortunately, Susan Burns and Mike Krochmal died from their injuries. We wonder if this was a case of distracted driving or if the drivers simply could not see each other.

A 19 year old girl was involved in a fatal car accident in Tampa. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on Dale Mabry Highway at about 8 PM. David Dario Cruz, 20, was driving a Mazda on the highway when he attempted to turn left on North Lakeview Drive. As he was turning, he collided with a Nissan. The driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital with serious injuries while his passenger died at the scene. It is unknown what Cruz’s state is.

Domenic Colasante, 28, was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident in Boca Raton. Police believe that the accident happened at the intersection between Dixie Highway and Glades Road. Colasante was riding a Yamaha motorcycle on Glades Road when he collided with a Jeep Liberty that was attempting to turn on that street. Colasante died from his injuries, while the driver of the Jeep, Nancy Labbad, was not injured.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victims’ families, who we imagine have been deeply saddened by these tragedies. We urge those who have experienced similar situations to contact a personal injury attorney, who may be able to help explain options and rights, especially if the case may trigger a wrongful death claim.
