On Behalf of | Apr 24, 2015 | Wrongful Death |

Two children, Kirsten Draper, 9, and Koby Draper, 15, died in a drunk driving incident in Liberty Hill, Texas. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 9 PM off of Highway 183. Police believe that John Alvarado was driving a Ford F-150 when he hit a Nissan. The Nissan was attempting to turn onto Saratoga Springs Drive when the Ford rear-ended it. Alvarado was charged with intoxication manslaughter when two of the four children in the Nissan died from their injuries. The two other children, Kody and Kristopher, as well as the mother, Kirsten Draper, who was the driver, were hospitalized and are currently in critical condition. Alvarado is also believed to have been driving with a suspended license.

A 19-year old man was killed in a head-on collision in San Antonio. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 9 AM on Nacogdoches Road, near Judson Road. The 19-year old, who was driving a Honda, attempted to get out of traffic by driving into the northbound lane from the southbound lane, lost control, and collided with a Chrysler. The 19-year old died from the injuries he sustained in the accident, while three people in the Chrysler were hospitalized and are in critical condition.

Our thoughts and hearts go out to the victims’ families, who we imagine have been deeply affected by these incidents. We also sincerely hope that those hospitalized have speedy recoveries. We urge families who have been in similar situations to contact a personal injury attorney, who may be able to help explain their options and rights. We wonder if the first case could trigger a wrongful death claim.
