On Behalf of | Apr 4, 2015 | Car Accidents |

Reports coming out of Galveston, Texas state that Rosalinda Bruno died in a car accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 11:30 PM at 40th Street along Sewall Boulevard. Bruno’s car, a Dodge Journey, was parked on the seawall. Police state that Gerado Flores, who was driving a Chevrolet Impala was driving the wrong way along the boulevard (westbound in eastbound lanes). Flores drifted over into the parking lane and hit Bruno’s car with such force that both cars flew off the seawall. Bruno died from the injuries she sustained in the accident, while Flores was taken to the hospital, though not with life-threatening injuries. Flores was also charged with manslaughter.

We wonder if this case could trigger a wrongful death claim.

Reports coming out of San Antonio state that a woman was killed when she hit a cement barrier on Loop 410. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 3 AM in the eastbound lanes of Loop 410 near Perring Beitel. An investigation is currently taking place as to discover what the cause of the accident was.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victims’ families, who we imagine have been deeply affected by these accidents. We imagine that they may have many questions. For the second accident, what was the cause of the crash? Did the vehicle malfunction? Did the driver lose control? Was there an obstacle in the road that the driver was attempting to avoid?
