Woman involved in fatal motorcycle crash in Austin, Texas.

Reports coming out of Austin, Texas state that a 25 year old woman was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. Law enforcement believe that the accident occurred at the intersection between RM 2222 and Vaught Ranch Road at about 7 AM. Police believe that the motorcycle was traveling east when a Subaru that was travelling west made a left turn on Vaught Ranch Road. The motorcyclist did not slow down or stop and collided with the car. Police believe that the driver of the car did not see the motorcyclist.

Reports coming out of San Antonio state that Corey Burris Byrnes, an 18-year old Trinity University student was involved in a fatal car accident. According to law enforcement, Byrnes was in a car with four other people going west on the 1000 block of East Olmos. The accident occurred at about 1 AM. Police believe that the driver lost control of the car and the car hit a pillar on the bridge. Byrnes died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. The other four people in the car were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Reports coming out of Houston state that a few students were injured in an accident involving a school bus. The accident occurred on U.S. 59 near Bush Intercontinental Airport at about 2:30 PM. It is unknown how the accident occurred but sixteen people, fifteen students and the driver, were taken to the hospital.

Our thoughts and hearts go out to the victims’ families and communities and we sincerely hope that those who are hospitalized have speedy recoveries. Though we do not know the details of what happened in these accidents, we do wonder if any of these could trigger a wrongful death claim.
