Reports coming out of San Antonio, Texas state that Raven Hernandez, 19, was involved in a rear-end car accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident happened at about 4 PM on I-10 West near Wurzbach Road. Hernandez was a passenger in an SUV that was on the side of the road due to a tire blow-out. A Ford F-150 crashed into the SUV along with another truck on the road. Hernandez died from the injuries she sustained in the accident. The driver of the Ford was injured, but the driver of the SUV and of the other truck that was hit were not injured.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victim’s family and community, who we imagine have been deeply affected by this tragedy. We imagine that they may have many questions. Why did the driver of the Ford hit the car that Hernandez was a passenger of? Was it due to a vehicle malfunction? Was this a case of distracted driving? Does this incident trigger a wrongful death claim?

Arnulfo Palacios-Salazar was killed in a hit-and-run incident in East Montgomery County. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred at about 8:30 PM. The vehicle that hit Palacios-Salazar was a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck. The truck is reported to have been travelling south on FM 1314, when it hit Palacios-Salazar. The driver fled the scene, leaving the victim injured and dying. Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident.
