Nicholas Hitzfelder in fatal motorcycle crash in Austin, Texas.

Reports coming out of Austin, Texas state that Nicholas Hitzfelder, 26, was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred on West Slaughter Lane and Palace Parkway at about 3:30 PM. A Camry was travelling west when it made a turn into an apartment complex. The motorcycle, which was going east, collided with the vehicle. Hitzfelder died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Reports coming out of San Antonio state that a major vehicle accident occurred on the highway. Law enforcement believes that the accident happened near the exit from northbound I-35 to U.S. 281 and I-37 at about 11 AM. Police believe that a man who was driving a pick-up truck crossed several lanes of traffic and rear-ended another car. The truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Reports coming out of Carlsbad state that Patrick Silva, Peter Silva, and Jamie William Warrior were involved in a fatal vehicle accident. The Silvas were both 24. Law enforcement states that the three men were driving south on U.S. 285 in a Ford pick-up truck when the car crossed lanes and collided with a Terex crane. All three died at the scene of the accident from their injuries.

The causes of these accidents are, as of yet, unknown. Investigations are being done currently to discover what the factors may have been. Our thoughts and support go out to the families and communities of the victims and we sincerely hope that those hospitalized recover quickly. We understand that they may have many questions. Why did the cars cross into the other lanes? Were there vehicle malfunctions? Were these cases of distracted driving? Was there an obstacle in the road that the drivers were attempting to avoid?
