Dale Anderson killed in drunk driving crash in Garland, Texas.

Reports coming out of Garland, Texas state that Dale Anderson, 22, was killed in a drunk driving accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 11:30 PM on South Garland Avenue. Police believe that Anderson was driving his motorcycle south when Matthew Tynes, 23, of Grand Prairie, Texas hit him. Tynes was driving a Chevrolet Camaro the wrong direction (north in the southbound lanes). Anderson died from the injuries he sustained in the accident while Tynes was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested for intoxication manslaughter.

Motorcycle accidents are not uncommon in Texas.

Reports coming out of Leander state that Cody Hilgart, 19, died in a motorcycle accident as well. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred ata bout 9:30 PM on U.S. 183. Hilgart was riding his motorcycle south on the highway and attempted to turn on Osage Drive when he was hit by a car that had been driving north. Hilgart died from the injuries he sustained in the accident while the driver of the car was taken to the hospital. The driver ‘s injuries were not critical. It is still unclear as to why the accident occurred. We wonder if it may have been a case of not being able to see the other vehicle or not yielding.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victims’ families and communities. We imagine that they have been deeply affected by these tragedies. We wonder if these cases could trigger wrongful death claims.
