Giovanna Eguia-Rodriguez died in a hit-and-run in San Antonio, Texas. Law enforcement believes that the incident occurred at around 9 PM at the intersection of Bell Drive and Uhr Lane. The driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe ran through a stop sign and crashed into Eguia-Rodriguez’s car. The driver then fled from the scene on foot. Police believe that speed was a factor in the incident and that the driver ran through a stop sign. Eguia-Rodriguez died from the injuries she sustained in the accident.

Two other cars were also damaged in the incident as Eguia-Rodriguez’s car was pushed a few hundred feet out of its way.

As you can imagine, fatal car accidents are not uncommon in Texas.

Reports coming out of Polk County state that Susie Anna Granger, of Lufkin, and Shuna Latrice Carter, or Nacogdoches, both died in a car accident on US 59. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred near Livingston. The driver of a Peterbilt was towing a trailer filled with logs when the car broke down. The driver got outside of his car to alert other drivers of the accident. Granger, driving a Dodge Caravan, was driving southbound as well when she hit the back of the trailer. Both she and Carter, who was a passenger, died from the impact.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victims’ families. We imagine that they have been deeply affected by the incidents. Families may be interested in filing a wrongful death claim.
