Motorcycle accident in West, Texas on Canyon Drive

On Behalf of | Sep 1, 2014 | Wrongful Death |

The Weaver Law Firm frequently discusses the many motorcycle accidents in Texas. Recently, another fatal motorcycle wreck occurred in West Texas. An Amarillo report indicates that the biker rider was named Thomas Moore. He was 33 years old at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, he dies at the scene of the accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.  According to police, his Harley-Davidson hit the back of a Toyota Camry in the 6200 block of Canyon Drive. There was also another Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was at the scene of the accident. This bike hit Thomas Moore’s motorcycle.  According to a report, the bike slid out of control. The driver of the second Harley left the scene of the accident, but he was later located.

We understand that Thomas Moore’s family may have questions like: who was at fault? Did the Camry stop too abruptly which caused the motorcycle to hit the car? Was it the Camry or the second motorcycle that caused Thomas Moore’s death? Is this a wrongful death case?

Attorneys often utilize private investigators and accident reconstruction experts to have a better understanding about what actually occurred. Police reports are not always correct.

The Toyota Camry driver and the passenger sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

We hope that Thomas’ family finds the answers that are looking for. We also hope that they find peace during this time.
