On Behalf of | Jul 5, 2016 | Personal Injury -- Plaintiff |

Jean Rigby was injured in a car accident near Telferner, Texas. Antonio Montelongo was the other driver involved he was hurt as well. The unfortunate incident occurred on July 3, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a personal injury lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Montelongo neglected to yield the right of way at the crossroads of FM 1686 and Highway 59. As a result of that, Montelongo collided with Rigby’s vehicle. Both drivers were taken to receive medical treatment and later released. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to Rigby and Montelongo and we hope they make a speedy recovery.

What was the cause of the accident? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury lawsuits.
