Marissa Morales is hurt after an alleged drunk-driving accident in Waco, Texas. Sandra Castro was injured as well. The unfortunate incident occurred on June 25, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.
According to reports, Jeffrey Miller was driving on North 38th St. with Morales and Castro as his passengers. Reports indicate that he was driving while distracted by his phone and drove off of the road before crashing the vehicle. Morales and Castro were both pregnant, but both of their children died as a result of the accident. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to Morales and Castro.
Miller faces double intoxication manslaughter charges for the deaths of the unborn children and two charges of intoxication assault.
Are there any underlying causes of the accident? Why was Miller allegedly driving while under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?
It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.
Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.
The facts of this case may support a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits.
