Saunya Collins died in a head-on car accident in Lubbock, Texas. Abigail Arroyos died in the crash as well. The fatal and unfortunate accident occurred on December 18, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death accident, especially once the investigation is complete.
Arroyos was driving her vehicle in the northern direction on Highway 385. For some reason, Arroyos veered to the edge of her lane and oversteered in an attempt to get her vehicle back in the lines of the road. As she oversteered to the left-side, she veered into the southbound lanes and crashed head-on into Collins’ vehicle. Collins and Arroyos died as a result of the extreme injuries they sustained. Our prayers and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of Collins and Arroyos.
It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely and staying alert is so important.
Why did Arroyos veer into the edge of the lane in the first place? Was she distracted or under the influence? What other factors are missing from this report?
Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.
The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
