Guillermo Ortiz died in a Corpus Christi car accident

On Behalf of | Dec 13, 2015 | Wrongful Death |

Guillermo Ortiz died in a Corpus Christi car accident. Guadalupe Cavazos died in the crash as well. The fatal and unfortunate accident occurred on December 11, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

Cavazos was driving on Highway 281 with Ortiz as his passenger. A truck was driving in the same direction as Cavazos’ vehicle. Suddenly, Cavazos crashed into the rear of the truck. The truck driver did not have to be taken to the hospital. Cavazos was taken to the hospital where he later died due to extreme injuries. Ortiz died at the impact of the accident due to critical injuries. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of all those that were involved.

It is truly sad to hear about this car accident. The roadways and highways are a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why safety while driving is so important.

Why did the vehicle crash into the truck? Was there anything that could have been done to prevent this accident? What other factors are missing from this report?

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
