Eric Moses died in a motorcycle accident in Killeen, Texas. He was a soldier in the Army. The fatal and unfortunate accident occurred on December 3, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is completed.
Moses was riding on his motorcycle on Schlueter Loop. An 18-wheeler was driving on the same road with Moses in the lane next to him. Close to where Stan Schlueter and Robinett Rd. met, the big truck tried to turn from the lane on the outside. While the truck was turning, Moses’ motorcycle crashed into the truck from the side. Moses died as a result of the critical injuries he sustained. Our prayers and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
Why did the truck turn from the outside lane? Did he not see the motorcycle? Was he under the influence or distracted? What other factors are missing from this report?
Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.
The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
