Jesus Salinas Jr., also known as Chuy, injured a female driver in an Alice, Texas drunk driving accident. The unfortunate incident occurred on November 25, 2015. The accident took place in Jim Wells County. We would anticipate that this case may result in a personal injury lawsuit, especially since Salinas was proven to be drunk.

Salinas was leaving an establishment after a night out of drinking alcohol. He attempted to enter Highway 281. He then crashed into a female driver’s car as he proceeded onto the road. The female was injured and had to be taken to get medical treatment. We hope she makes a speedy recovery. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to her and her family and friends.

There is simply no excuse for operating a vehicle while under the influence. Every time someone turns the key to start the engine it is their responsibility to ensure that they are not impaired in any way. This accident could have possibly been prevented if precautions were taken. He could have taken a cab, or made other arrangements if he knew he was going to drink.

Salinas was taken to jail as a result of the crash. He was charged with assault with an automobile while drunk driving.

Although the police have gathered their own information, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury lawsuits.
