One person is dead and one is injured after a fatal car crash in Travis County involving three vehicles. The incident occurred on the morning of October 5, 2015. We would predict that this case may result in a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit, especially if evidence proves that the wrong-way driver was at fault.

A truck was driving in the south lane of Highway 183. Suddenly, the truck crossed over into the northbound lane while continuing to drive southbound. The truck collided with the back of another car causing the other car to spiral. The car that spiraled with another truck causing a head-on collision. One driver had to be flown in a helicopter to the hospital and is currently in critical condition. Another driver passed away in result of the extreme injuries of the collision. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of those involved.

Was the wrong-way driver on alcohol or drugs? Was the wrong-way driver speeding? What made the driver veer off onto the wrong lane?

Reports indicate that police are still discovering the factors that led to the accident. Although, they are investigating, their reports and information cannot always be fully relied up upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit and personal injury. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury lawsuits.
