On Behalf of | Sep 30, 2015 | Car Accidents |

Nine people were hurt in an accident in McKinney, Texas. The car accident occurred in the morning of September 27, 2015. We would predict that this case may result in personal injury lawsuits, especially if evidence proves that the wrong-way driver was at fault.

A driver was headed northbound on US Highway 75 in the southbound lanes. The driver collided head-on with other vehicles close to Eldorado Parkway. The accident involved five automobiles in total. Nine people were injured out of the five cars. Reports indicate that at minimum it is known that two people had to be life-flighted. The conditions of the nine people are not clearly known at this time. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of all of those involved.

It is sad that these nine people are injured in an accident that was not their fault. These days every time you get on the roads you never know what is going to happen. That is why it is important that drivers take responsibility for their actions.

Reports do not indicate what caused the driver to drive the opposite way in the southbound lane. It is also not yet known if or what charges the driver faces. Officials are still investigating and gathering more information about the accident.

What caused the wrong-way driver to drive the opposite way? Was the driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol? Was there anything that could have prevented the collision? This accident report contains few facts and that brings about many questions that need answers.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The known facts of this case may support a personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury lawsuits.
