| Sep 2, 2015 | Wrongful Death |

On Tuesday, September 1, 2015 a family lost a teenage boy in a serious car accident in Harris County, TX. The family was riding in an SUV when it was struck by a truck that may have run a red light. The teenage boy passed away after the serious car accident. His mother is currently in critical condition. His sister and father were also in the SUV at the time of the accident, but are expected to survive.

Each of the family members are receiving medical attention. The boy’s father and sister were quickly taken to local hospital Memorial Hermann by Life Flight. A total of ten people were affected by the crash. It is not yet known if there are any of the others involved in the accident were injured.

Local law enforcement in Houston stated the family appeared as if they may have been leaving a football ball event. This conclusion is based off of the fact the teenage boy was wearing footballs pads when the accident occurred.

The police suggested that the truck driver is likely at fault for the accident, and he is being examined. The driver may have been under the influence of alcohol when he ran the red light, but the cause of the accident has not yet been determined. The truck driver may have been negligent. At the location of the accident, there was no evidence that suggested the driver was under the influence. The injuries sustained by the family may result in a wrongful death case in the future.
