Reports coming out of Castle Hills, Texas state that Iris Ortega was killed in a fatal accident. Law enforcement believes that Ortega was a passenger in Adam Morales’s car. Morales had previously been attempting to fake his identity at a bank. The police followed him, causing Morales to drive at a high speed. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Ortega was ejected from the car and died from his injuries. Morales left the scene of the accident and is now facing charges of evading arrest and failure to stop and render aid.
Brandon Burris was killed in a street racing incident in Dallas. Law enforcement believes that the incident occurred at about 7 PM at the corner of Dixie Lane and Buckner Boulevard. Anthony Gakuo, 23, was racing another driver on Buckner Boulevard when he hit Burris’s car. Angelica Figueroa, who was with him and was both his girlfriend and co-worker, was severely injured. Gakuo was arrested for speed racing. It is not known as of yet what has happened to the other driver.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victims’ families and we also hope that those hospitalized have speedy recoveries. We imagine that they may have been deeply affected by these incidents.
