Reports coming out of San Antonio, Texas state that there were a few minor injuries caused by a motorcycle-auto accident. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 11:30 PM on I-10 near Vance Jackson. A pick-up truck was travelling east when it hit the retaining wall of the highway when a motorcyclist in front lost control of his motorcycle and fell off. In order to avoid hitting him, the driver of the truck swerved and hit the wall. The truck’s passenger along with the motorcyclist were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Motorcycle accidents are not uncommon in Texas.
A man was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on the Gulf Freeway. According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at about 3 AM on I-45 near Tallyho and College. Police believe that the motorcyclist rear-ended a vehicle, a GMC Sierra pick-up truck. This caused the motorcycle to fall on the road. A Cadillac then struck the motorcycle, causing it to move into the opposite lane. Another vehicle hit it again. The motorcyclist died from the injuries he sustained in the accident. We wonder why the motorcyclist hit the first vehicle. Was this a case of speeding? Did the motorcyclist not see the car ahead of him because of the early time of day?
Our thoughts and hearts go out to the victim’s families, who we imagine have been deeply saddened by this accident. We also sincerely hope that those that are hospitalized have speedy recoveries.
