Reports came out of Pelham, New Hampshire that a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on or around Mammoth Road. Authorities closed the road near Tenney Road in Pelham Tuesday as the result of the fatal accident. The crash involved a car and a motorcycle. We are monitoring the situation since we have not obtained the name of the motorcycle rider. Police closed Mammoth Road in the area, and were directing cars onto Jeremy Hill and Bush Hill roads as a detour around the scene.
As you might expect, local law enforcement has not provided much information regarding the incident. Attorneys dealing in personal injury cases often hire experts to investigate accidents in order to determine the cause of the accident. We expect that the family of the motorcycle rider have questions and would like them answered. Was the car speeding? Did the driver fail to keep a proper lookout and strike the motorcycle rider? These are important questions when considering whether it is a wrongful death case. Evidence at the scene can often answer these types of questions. For example, we believe that a white hatchback was at the scene of the accident and left parked at an angle in the middle of Mammoth Road. The crashed motorcycle was on its side around shattered glass.
We do not always consider police reports to be exact.
Local news indicated that emergency crews performed CPR on an individual at the scene of the accident, but that the person later died. We believe that the police received a call regarding the incident on or around 8:30 p.m.
An individual in the car was reportedly injured and transported to a local hospital.
