On Behalf of | Sep 21, 2013 | Car Accidents |

San Antonio, Texas reports show that Kelly Marie Garcia of Universal City died in a car crash in DeWitt County. The car accident happened on Friday afternoon. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends. We hope that they are able to soon recover from such a tragic event.

Kelly Marie Garcia was a 27 year-old young lady. She was driving her Honda and going north on Texas 119. The reports state that she lost control of her vehicle about four miles outside of Yorktown right before the car accident. But we wonder if the accident was due to a automobile defect or a product defect in the automobile. Very often, accidents occur because of automobile defects. Sometimes they are related to a defective tire, a defective wheel or defective components in the car. A further investigation into this accident should occur.

We do know that the Honda overturned in a culvert, but why? The driver was wearing a seat belt and the roads were not wet. So, what caused this fatal car accident. This car should be preserved and not destroyed so that a proper analysis can be conducted to determine whether it was a manufacturer defect.

There are several types of defects in a product liability cases: design defect, manufacturing defect and warning defects.  Design defects exist when a whole class of products or cars are improperly planned which can cause risk to consumers.

If you have questions about product defects or defects related to automobile, feel free to call a personal injury or product defect attorney. You can reach the author at 713-572-4900.
