A devastating accident in the town of Alvin, Texas, which is just south of Houston, has left multiple families grieving and police investigating what happened to the man who caused the accident, who was found dead at the scene of gunshot wounds.

According to police, a father and his 12-year-old and 11-year-old sons were pushing their stalled pickup truck down a street when they were struck by a drunk driver. The older brother died at the scene of the accident, while the younger brother died later at a hospital. In the truck was the father’s wife and their 8-year-old daughter and 3-month-old son. The father was also injured in the car accident.

According to neighbors in the area, the accident happened on a street that was not lit very well. Sadly, the accident occurred less than 100 yards from the family’s home.

The case took an odd turn when the 20-year-old drunk driver’s body was also discovered at the scene. According to people who live nearby, two gunshots were heard soon after the crash. Police have been unable to find the gun so far.

Police have also not been able to interview the parents yet, so they have been hesitant to label the parents as suspects in the murder. The man’s death has been ruled a homicide, however.

It may be easy to jump to conclusions and think that one of the parents killed the drunk driver in a fit of rage, but that has not been decided yet. If one of the parents is arrested, though, the family of the young man way want to pursue their own legal action. While what he did was irresponsible, he did not deserve to be killed for this actions.
