Aylin Cervantes-Oliver and Yahir-Cervantes-Oliver died in a Dallas, Texas car accident. Kelvin Walker was arrested after the crash. The unfortunate accident took place on November 27, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in wrongful death lawsuits, especially if Walker is shown to be at fault.

Walker was driving at an extremely high speed on Highway 175. Once he got close to the Elsie Faye Heggins St. intersection, he collided with a vehicle. The vehicle was carrying three children and two parents. Both parents and one child were not hurt in the crash. Two children, Aylin and Yahir Cervantes-Oliver, died as a result of their critical injuries. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the children that died in the accident.

It is always sad to hear about car accidents, and this one is equally as saddening. The roadways are a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why safety and adhering to the laws are so important. Two children have died as a result of this man’s selfish actions, which is beyond heinous.

Kelvin Walker was arrested as the one responsible for the collision. Walker’s charges are currently one count of vehicular manslaughter. According to reports, the police discovered some evidence after the accident that gives them the impression that Walker could have been previously drinking alcohol. In light of the evidence, authorities have given him a toxicology examination. Walker could possibly face charges of intoxicated manslaughter if it comes back that he in fact was drunk.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
