Man who hit horse-drawn carriage being sued for wrongful death

This blog recently wrote about the tragic incident in nearby Galveston of a drunk driver striking a horse-drawn carriage. One person in the carriage was killed, and several others were injured. The family, which was in Galveston celebrating a birthday, is now fighting back by filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver and the bar that served him alcohol that night.

After all, cars wouldn't be sent to market if they weren't safe, right? But a new test has revealed that some cars may not be as safe in a car accident as they appear.

Sometimes it's important to remember that there may be more than just the person who causes an accident who is liable.
