Twenty-eight people were taken to the hospital in a Metro Bus accident in Houston, Texas. The crash occurred near Minute Maid Park. The unfortunate incident occurred on June 1, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a personal injury lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, a truck was driving on Runnels and disregarded a stop sign. Reports indicate that this was when the truck collided with the Metro Bus causing the bus to crash into the highway signage. Twenty-eight people were carried to receive medical treatment. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to those that were injured and we hope they make a speedy recovery.

What was the cause of the accident? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about bus collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury lawsuits.
