On Behalf of | Apr 2, 2016 | Wrongful Death |

Walter McCoy died in a Dalhart, Texas car accident. Michael Annis and Timothy Herl were involved in the accident as well. The unfortunate incident occurred on March 29, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Annis was driving his vehicle on Highway 54 with Herl as his passenger and McCoy was driving in the opposite direction. For an unknown reason, McCoy veered into the opposite lanes and crashed head-on with Annis. Herl and Annis were reportedly did not get hurt in the accident, but unfortunately McCoy died as a result of his extreme injuries. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of McCoy.

What was the cause of the fatal accident? What caused the driver to reportedly veer into the other lanes? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
