Henry Henkes died in a car accident in Victoria, Texas. Austin Smalley was hurt in the accident. The unfortunate incident occurred on April 15, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death or personal injury lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Henkes was headed down Old Goliad Rd. with Smalley as his passenger. Reports indicate that this was when for an unknown reason he drove off of the road and eventually the car rolled. Smalley was taken to receive emergency medical treatment and his condition is reportedly stable. Henkes died as a result of the extreme injuries he sustained. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of Henkes. We also hope that Smalley makes a speedy recovery.

What was the cause of the accident? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits.
