On Behalf of | Apr 20, 2016 | Wrongful Death |

David Gaona died in a motorcycle accident in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jesus Lozano Rivera was arrested in connection with the crash. The unfortunate incident took place on April 15, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, Rivera was driving under the influence and hit Gaona on his motorcycle near the crossroads of Ayers and Holly. Rivera was brought upon criminal charges of intoxication manslaughter, because Gaona died from the extreme injuries he sustained in the crash. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and families of Gaona.

Why was the driver allegedly driving under the influence? Was there anything that could have been done to prevent this incident? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
