Michelle Ashley Hernandez died in a car accident in Weslaco, Texas. The passenger of her car was injured in the accident. The unfortunate incident occurred on March 12, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death or personal injury lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

According to reports, a car was driving in the north direction on Farm-to-Market 2529 and drifted into the lanes going the opposite direction where Hernandez was driving. Hernandez attempted to not crash with the vehicle and rolled into the canal. The passenger was injured and taken to receive emergency medical treatment. Hernandez died as a result of the extreme injuries she sustained. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family of Hernandez.

It is always sad to hear about fatal collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Why did the other drive drift into the opposite lanes? Was the driver distracted or under the influence? Are there any other factors missing from this report?

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death or personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits.
