Brandice Ray Garrett died in a Marlin, Texas car accident

On Behalf of | Feb 4, 2016 | Wrongful Death |

Brandice Ray Garrett died in a Marlin, Texas 18-wheeler accident. The accident occurred in Falls County. The incident took place on January 11, 2016. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

It is reported that an 18-wheeler being driven by an inmate, Venson Williams, was traveling on Highway 7. The 18-wheeler then is reported to try to cross in front of a car that was driving at a lower speed. While the truck was trying to pass a car, reports indicate that was when the truck collided head-on with another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle was Garrett. Garrett died as a result of the extreme injuries she sustained. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to Garrett’s family and friends.

It is always sad to hear about car collisions, and this accident is equally as sad. The roads are always a place where unpredictable moments take place. That is why driving safely is so important.

Why did the truck collide with his car? Was there anything that could have been done to prevent this accident? What other factors are missing from this report?

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
