The fatal and unfortunate accident occurred on December 6, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially once the investigation is complete.

A truck was driving and proceeded to get off the highway at the Meadow Lakes Dr. exit. Reportedly, the person driving the truck did not stop at the red light. After the driver surpassed the red light, the car collided into the protective barrier for the road and flew over the wall ending up on Northeast Loop 820. The truck then caught on fire. Wiggins, Hopkins, and Robertson all died as a result of critical injuries sustained in the crash. Our prayers and deepest sympathies go out to their family and friends during this time of bereavement.

It is truly sad to hear about this car accident. The roadways and highways are a place where unpredictable moments occur. That is why driving safely is so important.

Why did the truck not stop at the red light? What other information is missing from this report?

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
