The Ghost Inside band members injured in bus accident in El Paso

On Behalf of | Nov 22, 2015 | Car Accidents |

Members of the band, The Ghost Inside, and other passengers were injured in a head-on bus accident in El Paso, Texas. Both drivers, Gregory Hoke and Steven Cunningham, died in the accident. This fatal accident occurred on November 20, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.

Hoke was driving the bus on Highway 62/180 that the band and crew members of The Ghost Inside were in. For an unknown reason, Hoke collided with a truck that was being driven by Cunningham in the opposite lane. Cunningham and Hoke both died as a result of critical injuries from the crash. The 10 people on the bus were all carried to the hospital. The extents of the passenger’s injuries are not being reported. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of all of those involved in the accident. We hope that those injured make speedy recoveries.

What caused the collision? Was anyone distracted or under the influence? What are the other factors that are missing from the report?

Police are still investigating into the cause of the accident. Although the police are looking for more information, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits.
