On Behalf of | Nov 2, 2015 | Wrongful Death |

A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in the West Side of San Antonio. The fatal incident occurred on November 1, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially if evidence shows that the driver of the car was at fault.

A driver was heading down W. Military Dr. and reports indicate that he fell asleep at the wheel. He drove onto the curb and crashed into a pedestrian that was walking on the sidewalk. The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the pedestrian.

The driver was reportedly found to not be under the influence and currently no charges are filed.

It is always saddening to hear about car incidents like these. Every person that gets behind the wheel has the responsibility to ensure that they are okay to drive. That is why it is important to get the proper rest and make sure you are not sleepy when driving. If you start to feel sleepy while you are driving then it is better to pull over to the side. This is an example of what happens when safety measures are not made beforehand.

Although the police have their own reports, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
