Gabriel Guzman dead after car splits in crash in Alice, Texas

On Behalf of | Nov 5, 2015 | Wrongful Death |

Gabriel Guzman is dead after the car he was in split after crashing in Alice, Texas. This fatal accident occurred on November 4, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit, especially if evidence proves that the driver of the car was at fault.

Ricardo Salinas Jr. was driving his car down Stadium Rd. Guzman was a passenger in Salinas’ vehicle. Salinas was speeding down the road and then ignored a stop sign. Suddenly, the vehicle flew into the air after hitting something in the road and crashed into a tree. The vehicle split into two pieces and caught on fire. The driver, Salinas, was taken to the hospital. Guzman, the passenger, died where the accident occurred because of his critical injuries. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

According to reports, the police have suspicions that Salinas had been drinking alcohol. The police have requested to have Salinas’ blood tested to figure out whether or he was legally intoxicated. Salinas could possibly be brought upon charges of intoxicated manslaughter if it comes back that he in fact was drunk.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death lawsuits.
