20 Temple ISD students hurt after Temple, TX bus accident

On Behalf of | Nov 24, 2015 | Personal Injury -- Plaintiff |

Twenty students of Temple ISD had to be taken to the hospital after a four bus accident in Temple, Texas. The unfortunate accident occurred on November 20, 2015. They were on their way to a playoff game for the Temple High School. We would anticipate that this case may result in a personal injury lawsuit.

Four buses were traveling on FM-485 with an estimated 100 students total. The reports indicate that a police officer suspects that one bus collided with a mirror on an 18-wheeler. The bus driver began to hit the brakes and that caused a domino effect crash with the other three buses. Twenty students were taken to the hospital. Their injuries are reportedly not critical. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to all of those involved and their family and friends.

It is truly saddening to hear about this bus accident. Safety among bus drivers is a top priority, especially because students are in their care. This brings many questions to mind.

Why did the bus driver brake so hard

Police are still investigating into the facts of the accident. Although the police are looking for more information, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury lawsuits.
