Three people and pregnant woman killed in 18-wheeler explosion

On Behalf of | Oct 7, 2015 | Truck Accidents |

Four people, including a pregnant woman, died in an 18-wheeler explosion in Dallas, Texas. The fatal car explosion occurred on October 5, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death lawsuit.

A car containing a family of four people and an unborn child crashed into an 18-wheeler on the ramp of Interstate 35 and Interstate 20. Reports indicate that the car somehow became stuck under the 18-wheeler and the tank exploded. This caused the car and 18-wheeler to erupt in flames. The flames lasted for about an hour. Once the flames were settled the car that the family was in was unrecognizable to the investigators. Everyone in the car passed away at the scene of the fatal accident. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the family of four and unborn baby.

It is truly sad to hear about something so tragic. I hope that the family members of this family stay strong during a hard time like this.

How did the car get stuck under the 18-wheeler? Did the truck driver see the car before the explosion?

These are just two of the unanswered questions that family and friends may have.

The police are investigating deeper into the accident. Although the police are looking into it, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding wrongful death and 18-wheeler accidents.
