Three kids life-flighted after collision with distracted driver

Three children are physically injured after an automobile collision in West Bexar, County. This collision occurred on September 20, 2015. We would anticipate that this case would result in a personal injury lawsuit, especially if evidence proves that the distracted driver was at fault.

A woman became momentarily distracted by her ringing cellular device as she drove down Highway 90. The phone distraction led to her smashing her car into one vehicle. After that initial collision another driver became engulfed in the accident, crashing their automobile into the car that the woman had just crashed into.

The incident resulted in three injured children of ages 5, 11, and 15. The children had to be life-flighted from the scene to University Hospital. The children's injuries are reportedly not life-threatening. Our hearts and prayers go out to the children, their family, and friends.

Reports indicate that the distracted driver left the scene without any tickets or charges. Although, other charges towards the driver are presently unknown.

Distracted driving is a prominent issue that some people are not taking seriously. Texting and driving is an issue that is frequently discussed about, but talking on your phone seems to get left out of those conversations. This car crash explicitly demonstrates how equally dangerous it is to answer or talk on your cell phone while driving. Anything that takes your eyes off the road for one second, whether it is a ringing cell phone or digging in your briefcase, can result in a life threatening situation for you or those around you. There are way too many distracted driving incidents in Texas.

Three children are dealing with the physical, and possibly emotional, consequences of actions that they were not reported to be at fault for. Incidents like this could stop occurring so often if everyone behind the wheel stayed focused on what's in front of the wheel, which is the road.

This car crash may ignite some questions that the parents or family members need answers to. How long was the female driver distracted for? When did the driver realize she was about to crash into the back of the car? Did the driver attempt to avoid the collision?

Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police report reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answer to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that people injured may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury and accident related lawsuits.
