Frederick Lowe injured and Kathleen Lowe dead in car accident

Frederick Lowe was injured and his wife, Kathleen Lowe, died in a tragic car accident in Leander, Texas. The incident occurred on September 26, 2015. We would anticipate that this case may result in a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit, especially since reports indicate that the other driver was in fact legally intoxicated.

Frederick Lowe was driving with his wife, Kathleen, in their car going southbound on the frontage road of 183A. Patrick Hunt, the other driver, slammed into Frederick Lowe's car at the intersection of 183A Toll Road and US 183. The accident occurred close to the Bryson Ridge Trail. Frederick Lowe was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries and his condition remains fair. Kathleen Lowe died at the scene of the car collision because of her extreme injuries. Our hearts and prayers go out to the friends and families of the Lowe's.

Every time someone turns the key to start the engine it is their responsibility to ensure that they are not impaired in any way. There is simply no excuse for Hunt operating a vehicle while under the influence. This man has taken the life of another person and injured her husband, which is such a heinous and selfish crime.

Hunt was arrested for driving under the influence and was charged with intoxication manslaughter. Reports indicate that the police are still looking deeper into the collision for more information.

Although the police are doing their own investigating, they cannot always be fully relied upon. There are some questions that may still need answers and some actions that may need explanations. Personal injury lawyers do not always rely on the police reports. They often hire private investigators to find the answers to additional questions. Investigators often obtain helpful information that is not included in the police report, information that family members sometimes want to know.

The facts of this case may support a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit. The Weaver Law Firm understands that family and friends may have plenty of questions regarding personal injury, wrongful death and accidents caused by drunk drivers.
