Ashley Coffin & Jason Hill in fatal head-on crash in Cleburne, TX

Ashley Coffin, 24, and Jason Hill were involved in a fatal head-on collision in Cleburne, Texas. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred near the intersection of Texas 174 and Old Foamy Road at about 7 PM. Two vehicles collided at the intersection head-on-a flatbed truck and a Dodge Ram. The driver and one of the passengers in the Dodge died from their injuries-Coffin and Hill. In addition, there were three children that were younger than 4 years old in the Dodge. They were taken to the hospital but do not seem to have critical injuries. Two passengers in the flatbed truck were also taken to the hospital but also do not seem to have critical injuries. It is as of yet unknown what caused the accident. We wonder if this could have been a case of distracted driving or failure to yield right of way. We also wonder if this case could trigger a wrongful death claim.

Reports coming out of Amarillo state that Jose Roberto Maldonado Jr., 20, was critically injured after he rear-ended a car with his motorcycle. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred on the 7600 block of North River Road at about 6 PM. Police believe that Maldonado was riding his motorcycle when he rear-ended a Saturn. Maldonado was taken to the hospital with severe injuries while the driver of the car, Jesse Dewayne Fincher, was not injured. Police believe that high speed was a factor in the accident.
