Accidents in which drivers lose control of their vehicles are not uncommon in Texas.

Reports coming out of Von Ormy state that a driver was injured in a roll-over accident. According to the police, the accident occurred on I-35 at about 2 AM near the Medina River. Law enforcement believes that the driver of the truck lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center median and flipped over the car. The driver was hospitalized but his state of health is not yet known. It is also unclear in this case why the driver lost control of his car.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families of the victims, who we imagine have been deeply affected by these incidents. We also sincerely hope that those that are hospitalized have speedy recoveries. In both of these cases, we wonder if these were cases of vehicle malfunction, distracted driving, or if the driver was attempting to avoid an obstacle that was in the road. In the first case, we also wonder if the situation would be able to trigger a wrongful death claim from one of the passengers’ family members.
