Tracy Groom involved in fatal rollover crash in Mabank, Texas.

Reports coming out of Mabank, Texas state that Tracy Groom died in a single-car rollover accident. Law enforcement believes that the accident occurred on U.S. Highway 175 when Groom’s SUV encountered an obstacle on the road, causing the driver to lose control of the car. The car went through the U.S. Highway 198 overpass guard rail and rolled over a few times. Groom died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victim’s family. We imagine have been deeply affected by this accident.

Reports coming out of Hale Center state that Jose Sepeda was involved in a pedestrian accident. The accident occurred in the evening when police officer Matthew Cowly hit Sepeda as he was walking in front of the car. Cowly was thought not to have been able to stop in time. Law enforcement is now investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the accident. It is also suspected that Cowly’s headlights may not have been on at the time, making it possible that he did not see Sepeda. However, though Sepeda was taken to the hospital, his condition is not critical.

It is incredibly important to pay attention to pedestrians, especially when it is either dark outside or weather conditions are not ideal. Pedestrians, as well as bicyclists, can be difficult to see when driving, and not following the rules of speed or the road can cause injuries or even death.
