Reports coming out of Angelina County state that Trenton McCaa of Pollok and Aaron Breed of Kirbyville died in a car accident. The accident occurred at about 1 AM near Lufkin. Law enforcement believes that McCaa was driving south on U.S. 69 when he crossed the center lane and hit the other car, which was travelling north. It is unknown whether the driver of the car that was hit was injured but a passenger in the car, Aaron Breed, died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families of the victims. We imagine that they have been deeply saddened by the accident. We wonder what may have caused the accident. Why did McCaa cross the center line of the highway? Was there a vehicle malfunction? Since it was late in the night, perhaps the case is one that involved alcohol. Was the driver distracted? Is this a case that triggers a wrongful death claim?
